LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - With the economy in the shape that it's in, folks came out to the Chamber SWLA Business EXPO. Over one hundred businesses were on hand giving out information and networking with other businesses.
The guest speaker was Jeff Klienpeter, president of Klienpeter Dairy. He said the expo was people coming together that want to support each other and want Lake Charles to grow. He spoke during the luncheon which was followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony that featured Klienpeter, Mayor Randy Roach and other business officials.
Mitchell Adrian, Dean of McNeese College of Business, was event chairman. He added, "it's a fantastic networking opportunity for business to business relationships, one business can find another, find out what products they have available, sell, purchase, all that's in the future."
All of the proceeds go to MSU and Sowela's business departments.
