DOTD announces ramp closures on I-210

SUNDAY, MARCH 21, 2010, the following ramps on I-210 (East side of Lake Charles) will be closed from 6:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.

  • Eastbound I-10 Off Ramp to Westbound I-210

It is recommended that eastbound I-10 traffic intending to join I-210 westbound exit from I-10 at US 90/LA 14 (Exit 31B). Take US 90 to LA 14, then turn right on LA 14 southbound to Broad St. Turn left on Broad St. eastbound and drive to its junction with I-210 westbound.

  • Westbound I-210 Off Ramp to US 90

It is recommended that eastbound I-10 traffic headed to US 90 exit I-10 at US 90/LA 14 (Exit 31B). Westbound I-10 traffic going to US 90 should exit I-10 at US 171/LA 14 (Exit 33), then proceed southbound on LA 14 to the junction with US 90.

    It's not unusual to hear complaints about the U.S. Postal Service in our area. The latest comes from a neighborhood off Nelson Road where residents say they no longer get daily delivery. "Whether snow, sleet or rain or whatever it   should be delivered," said Terry Bellard, who lives at Smith Village mobile home community. Residents say their mail is no longer delivered regularly.

    The Army Corps of Engineers plans to issue the necessary permits for the Bayou Bridge pipeline, according to a news release from the office of Congressman Clay Higgins. The news release said Colonel Michael Clancy, of the Army Corps of Engineers, announced Thursday that the New Orleans District has concluded its environmental assessment and will issue necessary permits to Bayou Bridge Pipeline, LLC.
