LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC-TV) – KPLC will re-air the documentary, "Unsolved: Mystery in Jeff Davis Parish," about the Jeff Davis Eight victims, Sunday at 9 a.m.

But before that, we wanted to get an update on the latest in the investigation.

NOTHING NEW TO REPORT

According to Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff Ricky Edwards, there is nothing new to report as far as the investigation goes. Edwards did tell 7 News that DNA testing of law enforcement remains ongoing to rule out the possibility that an officer may somehow be involved in the murders.

FAMILY WAITS FOR UPDATES

Kindra Brown, sister of Laconia "Muggy" Brown, the fifth victim found, said she would like investigators to give her an update on how the investigation is progressing. Brown said no one from any of the agencies investigating the mysterious deaths has called her or her family with new information.

"I don't know if it's because they're not doing their job or if they're just sitting back and relaxing," said Brown.

Brown said she won't give up until her sister's killer is brought to justice.

"I'm going to fight until I can't fight no more," said Brown.
