L'Auberge du Lac Names 2009 Employee of the Year

LAKE CHARLES, La. — L'Auberge du Lac Casino Resort, a luxury resort in Lake Charles, La., recently announced its Employee of the Year for 2009 along with its Manager of the Year and Supervisor of the Year. The honorees are chosen from amongst more than 2400 employees for their dedication to exceptional guest service at the award-winning casino resort.  

Debra LeFrere-Williams, a table games dealer, was named Employee of the Year at a March 10 gala held at L'Auberge. Vice President and General Manager Larry Lepinski personally announced LeFrere-Williams as the winner chosen from a pool of 12 dynamic and dedicated Five Star employees who had previously been named Employee of the Month. L'Auberge employees, including honored employees from previous years, celebrated the night with a private performance by cast members JoAnna Krupa and Derek Hough from Dancing With The Stars, the hit ABC television show.

LeFrere-Williams, who joined L'Auberge in 2005 as part of the properties opening team, received a cash prize, designer luggage, VIP parking for one year and a crystal trophy. She will use that luggage to fly to Las Vegas with a guest and join winners from all of the Pinnacle Entertainment properties for a private reception with interim Pinnacle CEO John Giovenco and other members of the companies' executive team along with a host of surprises and special events. LeFrere-Williams is a native of Lake Charles and a graduate of St. Louis High School. She is married with one daughter.  

Revenue Audit Manager Lisa Wilkerson was named Manager of the Year for 2009; she joined L'Auberge in March 2005 as part of the resorts opening team.  Patrick Quintano, an Executive Casino Host, earned top honors as Supervisor of the Year; Quintano joined the company in 2006. Both winners received a custom trophy and a cash prize.

Each month, L'Auberge recognizes five employees, or Five Stars, for their service skills. All of these employees went to great lengths to uphold L'Auberge's quality and image as the most successful and respected entertainment destination in the South. One is then designated as Employee of the Month and becomes eligible for the coveted Employee of the Year designation. Every three months, L'Auberge chooses its Leaders of the Quarter from among the properties managers and supervisors.
