BATON ROUGE (March 11, 2010) — Beginning Thursday, March 11, parents and students will be able to practice for the Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (LEAP) test FREE through Cox OnDemand, available to all Cox Digital Cable customers and on MyConnection, available to all Internet users at www.cox.com/Louisiana or www.cox.com/greaterlouisiana. The service will remain active through July 2, the end of the summer LEAP retest period.

LEAP 21: Making the Grade, a joint effort between LPB and the Louisiana State Department of Education, helps students prepare for the Math and Language Arts sections of the LEAP test. There are 10-15 segments each for 4th and 8th grade Math and Language Arts based upon the tutoring guide developed by the state's Department of Education. These video tutoring sessions can be accessed using Cox OnDemand service which is available at no cost to Cox Digital Cable subscribers.
Digital customers can direct-tune to channel 1641 to view the LEAP content. Or to access via Cox OnDemand (Cox Channel 1), subscribers follow these steps:

3. Select LEAP
4. Make a tutorial selection
