BEAUREGARD PARISH, LA (KPLC) - Beauregard Parish Sheriff's officials arrested two men on Friday after they were found with ingredients used to manufacture meth.

Daniel Slaydon of DeRidder and Courtney McKnight of DeQuincy, both 24-years-old, were arrested on Friday.

Chief Deputy Joe Toler said when they pulled the men over, they checked their vehicle and found materials used to make meth.

Authorities say they were able to track the men down when one of them was spotted on a watch list that pharmacies use when a person buys prescription drugs or ingredients used in a meth lab.

Toler added that the watch list is helping other parishes crack down on meth labs, and will hopefully bring the crime to a halt.
