Free Trees from Arbor Day Foundation

By Theresa Schmidt

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Trees are not just beautiful, but they have many benefits for the environment. Yet many were lost in Southwest Louisiana due to recent hurricanes. That's why the hurricane recovery group: A La Maison and Arbor Day Foundation were handing out free trees at local libraries this week. They were giving away various varieties of seedlings including bald cypress, live oaks, and maples. This is to encourage people to plant trees.

For a list of where the group will be next to distribute seedlings, click on the following link.
