Jenkins indicted for January murder

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The Calcasieu Grand Jury indicted Marlin James Jenkins on Thursday for the January murder of Linda Moore.

38-year-old Jenkins was indicted for 2nd degree murder and aggravated rape. The murder happened near Thibs Detailing Shop in Lake Charles on January 15. Autopsy results reveal that 50-year-old Linda Moore was raped.

As the investigation into the murder was progressing, police developed information that Jenkins may have raped other women. The grand jury has indicted him for the aggravated rape of two other women, one in 2008 and the other in 2009. Police are speculating that there may be other victims who have not yet come forward.

Jenkins bond was set at $700,000.
