JENNINGS, LA (KPLC) - On Monday President Obama announced he was proposing $900 million to go toward drastically changing schools and shuttering their worst performing schools.
Obama's stems from schools struggling to keep students in school from the time they enter as a freshman to the time they graduate.
The federal plan includes changes such as closing failing schools, replacing current staff, and using a new strategies to keep kids in school.
