LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Adam McBride will soon retire as port director from the Port of Lake Charles. Jonathan Daniels, who is the current port director at the Port of Oswego, in New York state, was the first pick of the Lake Charles port board. They had hoped to have reached a decision at tonight's meeting, but according to Harry Hank, who sits on the board,  some concerns expressed by Jonathan Daniels makes his chance of becoming the new director slim.

This matter was discussed by the Lake Charles port board, behind closed doors, in an executive session. They have scheduled another executive session meeting for Wednesday.
