FORT POLK, La. (AP) - A company of military police from Fort Polk will be sent to Haiti to help relief efforts after a killer earthquake struck that Caribbean nation 10 days ago.
The Army said Friday the unit will assist with earthquake recovery and humanitarian assistance.
About 130 soldiers from the 209th Military Police Battalion, 1st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, are expected leave next week.
