CPSO to host free bingo in Starks

The following is a news release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office.

Lake Charles, LA – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Elderly Services Division will host a free bingo and sandwich lunch on Thursday, January 28 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the V. F. W. located at 4403 Hwy. 12, Starks.  

This free event is for Calcasieu Parish senior citizens 55 years old and older.

    Around 3,000 people are without power in Calcasieu as of 2 p.m. Thursday. Drivers are reporting that the outages are affecting traffic signals on La. 14. Around 1,200 are without power along La. 14, south of I-10. There are also power outages reported in the area of La. 14 and Tom Hebert Road and in Sulphur.
