3 arrested in Breaux Bridge shooting death

BREAUX BRIDGE, La. (AP) - Authorities in St. Martin Parish have arrested three people in the shooting death of a 21-year-old Breaux Bridge man.

The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office said in a news release that Hilton Noel was shot in the parking lot of Breaux Bridge High School about 4 p.m. Saturday during an alleged drug deal.

Maj. Ginny Higgins, spokeswoman for the sheriff's office, said 21-year-old Adrione Manuel of Breaux Bridge was inside the vehicle with Noel. Manuel was arrested on one count of principal to first-degree murder.

Higgins said 22-year-old Noah Sonnier was booked with one count of first-degree murder and 22-year-old Joshua Castille was arrested on one count of principal to first-degree murder.

All three were booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center. The case remains under investigation.
