LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) – The Minnesota Vikings will meet the Saints in the NFC Championship after their rout of the Dallas Cowboys 34-3.
Age is just a number to 40 year old Brett Favre, who became the oldest NFL quarterback to start a playoff game. He threw four touchdown passes and finished 15 for 24 for 234 yards.
Favre's go to guy today was receiver Sydney Rice. Rice caught three touchdown passes from Favre, and had a total of 141 yards in receiving.
The Cowboys were limited offensively. Tony Romo was 22 for 35 for 198 yards, but had three turnovers, two fumbles and one interception. Minnesota also sacked Romo six times.
The Vikings advance to the NFC Championship game for the first time since the 2000 season. They'll face the Saints next Sunday, kick off is set for 5:40 PM.
