LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - There are more head coaching changes this offseason in southwest Louisiana high school football.

Sulphur's head coach Paul Bourgeois has officially resigned.  He has spent eight years at Sulphur High School as their head coach.

Bourgeois' Tors finished the 2009 season with a 4-6 record and missed the playoffs.  His career record as head coach of the Golden Tors was 56-32.

In 2006, Bourgeois led the Tors to the 5A state finals where they lost to Acadiana on a last second field goal.

As for Washington-Marion's head coach John Jenkins, he has also turned in his resignation to the Calcasieu Parish School Board.

Jenkins has been the head coach of the Charging Indians for the last four seasons.  His career record at Washington-Marion is 17-28.  The Charging Indians finished the 2009 season at 1-9.  They did not make the postseason.

The Calcasieu Parish School Board has also presented their candidate to replace David Miller at Iowa.  Sean Richard was the candidate the School Board presented at their January 12th meeting.  Miller stepped down as the head coach of the Yellow Jackets recently.
