Third Jennings shooting in two weeks leaves one dead

JENNINGS, LA (KPLC) -  Jennings Police are investigating a Wednesday night shooting that left one person dead.  Just after 10 p.m., officers were called to 431 King St. where they found the body of 34-year-old Alan West.  He apparently died from a single gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Jennings Police Chief Johnny Lassiter says they have very little information to go on and they are asking for assistance from the public.  Anyone with information on the crime can call the Jennings P.D. at 337-821-5513 or the Jeff Davis Sheriff's Office at 337-824-3850.

The Jennings Police Department was assisted by the Jeff Davis Sheriff's Office and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office's Forensic Investigation Unit.

    The search for the suspect in last Friday's homicide in Topsy has been found. Authorities in Beaumont, Texas spotted a vehicle suspected to be driven by the suspect, David Wade Clark. After being spotted, Clark lead Jefferson Country Sheriff's deputies on a pursuit through a neighborhood.
