LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Two Lake Charles women facing first-degree murder charges have pleaded not guilty in the death of the husband of 1 of them.
Robyn Little Davis and Carol Nolan Saltzman are accused in the death of 39-year-old William Bryan Davis.
Davis' body was found near his car July 1 near the Cameron Parish line.
Assistant District Attorney David Palay set a March 1 trial date for both women after their attorneys filed motions for a speedy trial.
Sheriff Tony Mancuso has declined to discuss possible motives for the case, saying it could jeopardize the case when it goes to trial.
