LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - More discussion on the fate of the USS Orleck. The Louisiana State Attorney General's Office says a public vote is needed to bring the retired navy destroyer to Lake Charles. But with so many unanswered questions and unresolved issues, including how supporters of the ship would pay for an election, the council wants more information on their plan before presenting it to voters. City officials say the earliest the item could potentially go up for a vote would be in May or October.
