NEW ORLEANS, LA (KPLC) – The Saints once perfect record, now has a blemish. However, the one thing they can take from last nights lost, is comfort in knowing they are still in control of the NFC.
The Minnesota Vikings are now 11-3 after loosing to the Carolina Panthers 26-7 tonight, but the loss doesn't mean they are out of contention for the NFC's top spot. They are still knocking on the Saints door, and depending on how the rest of their season unfolds, the Saints may have to win out. Thus, the black and gold are in control of their own destiny to claim the number one playoff seed in the NFC.
To win out the next two games, the Saints will have to examine what went wrong Saturday night. Drew Brees stated, ""For us it was just one of those nights where things just weren't working. We had some mis-communications at times. They have some good pass rushers. They got pressure on us a few times, unfortunately we just didn't handle it very well and we weren't good on third downs tonight either. We put ourselves in some tough situations."
