The Commander of the American Legion Visits Lake Charles

Commander Clarence Hill, commander of the American Legion, stopped by Lake Charles this weekend as part of his world wide tour.

Commander Hill was elected this past August and has been visiting with legionnaires all over the world. In honor of his visit to Lake Charles, Mayor Randy Roach presented him with a key to the city.

Commander Hill encourages the American Legion to stay involved in their communities so that they have a bigger impact on what happens.

The American Legion is a veterans organization that believes in serving after their military days are behind them. Anyone who has served since August 2, 1990 is eligible to join.
