Lake Charles Shooting: UPDATE

By Adam Hooper - bio | email

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -  The investigation into the death of a Lake Charles man is ongoing. Police continue to follow leads and look for clues. At this point police believe that Devionte Leday died after being shot to death, but the autopsy results from the Calcasieu Parish Coroner's office will make the final determination. The autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. In the meantime, police are asking for your help.

"We began that process of investigating the scene. At this time the information that we have is very limited because of the time frame. We are still working on the events that unfolded, as to why this person was found dead," said Sgt. Mark Kraus with the Lake Charles Police Department.

If you have any information that could help point police in the right direction, you are asked to call Lake Charles Police at 491-1311 or Crime Stoppers at 439-2222.
