Travelers in Cameron parish urged to use caution tonight

CAMERON, LA (KPLC) - Officials in Cameron Parish are warning residents to be careful when traveling between Holly Beach and Cameron Ferry on Tuesday evening because of some water covering parts of Highway 82.

Residents are urged to use extreme caution due to high tide and salt water that is coming up over Highway 82.

The tide should subside later in the evening as the north winds increase and the tide drops below the current levels.

Authorities are working to clear debris from the road. Residents are reminded that the water is salt water, and it can damage your automobile.
