LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) – The Superdome showdown awaits us.

The undefeated Saints will look to win their eleventh win in a row when they host the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football.  These two teams haven't played each other since 2005, which the Saints came up short against New England.

Many players from both sides are amped up for this match up including former Patriot David Thomas.  The Patriots traded Thomas to the Saints for a 7th round pick earlier in the season, Saints got the better end in the deal.

Even with Jeremy Shockey as the primary tight end, Thomas has made a lot of contributions to the Saints offense.  Last week, Thomas caught nine catches for over one hundred yards and a touchdown.  Thomas can't wait to take the field.

"I'm excited about it because I know what a great team they are and I know what a test this will be for our team. I'm excited about the opportunity to play them and I'm excited about the chance to go against all those guys I use to practice against," said David Thomas.
