LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - It came as a shock to all that knew Sierra Bouzigard.

"I heard from one of my friends. I guess they saw it on the news and they called me when they saw it," said Alexandria Patrick.

While  friends and family are dealing with the loss of a loved one, they said it helps to remember the good times.

"Sierra was a brilliant girl. She was always outgoing. You couldn't be around Sierra and not have a good time. You couldn't be around her and not laugh. There was never any sad moments around Sierra. She always up lifted you," said Alexandria Patrick.

While investigators follow leads, they ask that anyone with information to please come forward.

"It is so important that we ask the public for their help. We want to try and find out what here whereabouts were in the past twenty-four hours. That is why we are releasing her picture and asking the public for help.

Alexandria Patrick has known Sierra since the sixth grade. She wants to make sure that the person who killed her friend is brought to justice.

"I beg them. Please come forward and give them any information that you may know about this. We just want this to be done and solved," said Alexandria Patrick.
