LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - It's Christmas shopping at its best. The annual Mistletoe and Moss came to a close this weekend with organizers reporting record numbers. With Christmas just a little over a month away, shoppers were getting some pretty good deals. More than 87 vendors were on hand for the Junior League's annual fundraiser. Organizer's say they're glad to see people staying in town to shop.
"It's wonderful because they are staying in lake Charles and because this is our main fundraiser we've gotten a lot of revenue and that helps us continue our programs in the community," said Kam Jakubek, co-arrangements chair for the Junior League.
"I always come every year. I come every year. It's always different. It's never the same," said shopper Anne Sweeney.
