LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - After their giant win over Texas State, the Cowboys have moved up one spot to #8 in the latest FCS Sports Network poll.

They are the only Southland Conference team left in the top 25 besides Stephen F. Austin.  The Lumberjacks are ranked #15.

McNeese State and SFA are both tied for first place in the Southland Conference with one conference loss.  If the Cowboys can beat Central Arkansas and SFA loses to Northwestern State, MSU would win the conference outright.  If SFA beats the Demons, the best McNeese can do is share the title with the Lumberjacks.  Stephen F. Austin owns the tiebreaker over MSU because they beat the Pokes back on October 10th.
