State officials confirm two more H1N1 related deaths

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - State officials confirmed on Monday that two more deaths in our state can be blamed on the H1N1 virus.

The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals estimates more than 181,000 Louisiana residents have had the virus, or have it right now.

One of the deaths from the H1N1 flu was in the Monroe area, and the other was an adult male somewhere in the five-parish area including Lake Charles.

These two deaths bring the death toll in the state to 35.
