LONGVILLE, LA (KPLC)- Dakota Cryer, the South Beauregard running back injured during a playoff game against Jonesboro-Hodge, was released from the Memorial Hospital last night.
South Beauregard Head Coach Shawn Demeritt confirmed today that Cryer walked out of the hospital at 11:20 pm on his own will.
Demeritt said doctors performed a CAT Scan on Cryer, and it revealed that he was fine. Cryer did later complain of lower back pain, but an X-Ray also showed that he was clear of injury.
Cryer was injured on a passing play three minutes before halftime. He left the field in an ambulance and was airlifted from Ragley to Memorial Hospital.
South Beauregard hosted their first playoff game in school history against Jonesboro-Hodge, and lost 51-16.
