LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Louisiana State Police have re-arrested Pamela Fruge of Moss Bluff for indecent behavior with a juvenile. She was taken into custody Wednesday night and is currently being held in the Calcasieu Jail on a $200,000 bond.
Mrs. Fruge had earlier been booked and charged with crimes against nature after evidence revealed she performed improper acts with a dog. She had bonded out Tuesday afternoon.
The Calcasieu Parish School Board has confirmed that Fruge was a teacher's aide at Gillis Elementary. They say it was her first year as a teacher's aide after she was a substitute teacher last year.
According to the school board, all background and drug checks came back clear, so they had no known problems with her employment.
When the news of her recent arrest came out, the CPSB immediately removed her from her job and they say that termination hearings should begin soon.
There is reportedly no link between her arrest and her employment at the school.
Her husband, Shelton Fruge, remains in jail with a number of sex charges including aggravated rape and contributing to the deliquincy of a juvenile. His bond is set at two million dollars.
Detectives with Louisiana State Police and the Immigration Customs and Enforcement Agency were led to the home off Idlebrook Drive in Moss Bluff after a month long combined investigation.
"During the search warrant, evidence was found in the home of child pornography," said Sgt. Stephen LaFargue with Louisiana State Police Troop D.
"He did confess to possessing child pornography and to the molestation of a juvenile, which resulted of a minor under the age of 10," explained LaFargue.
According to neighbors the couple have lived there for several years and mainly kept to themselves. They understandably did not want to go on camera, but did express their shock and disgust about the allegations that went on just doors down.
Fruge's are also being investigated by the Immigration Customs and Enforcement Agency, which could file separate charges.
