LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - UPDATE:  7 News talks with Dr. Welke on the detail surrounding the death of 14- year-old Jonathon Fontenot.

Calcasieu Parish Coroner Dr. Terry Welke has released an official cause of death in the passing of 14-year-old Jonathon Fontenot, and after an intensive investigation, Dr. Welke has ruled Fontenot died from complications from the H1N1 virus.

Fontenot, of Moss Bluff, died on Tuesday night after being airlifted to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital around 9:30 PM. He began experiencing symptoms of the flu on Saturday.

Shortly after his mother put him to bed, Jonathon's younger sister found him on the floor where he was not breathing.

Moss Bluff Middle School, where Fontenot was a student, has counselors available for the students this week.

Visitation for Jonathon will be at Saint Theordore's Catholic Church in Moss Bluff on Friday evening from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the funeral service starts at 10 a.m.

Sunny and nice for Thanksgiving!!!Sunny and nice for Thanksgiving!!!

The next few days will be rather chilly with temperatures below normal for this time of year!  A warming trend begins this weekend, but the weather still looks great for anything outdoors.  Temperatures will fall rapidly this evening with lows by Thursday morning ranging from the upper 20s north of I-10 to the low 40s at the coast.  The wind may not calm entirely and that might keep frost from becoming widespread north of I-10.
