LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Lake Charles Police say several men arrested for a Sulphur home invasion are also believed to be suspects in this one where surveillance video caught the suspects on tape. The video shows two males taking several items from the residence on Tulane Street the night of October 5th.

Authorities say two of the suspects are behind bars for the Sulphur incident but they are still looking for 19 year old Joshua Brooks. According to Lake Charles Police Sergeant Mark Kraus, the victim in this case allegedly smoked marijuana with at least one of the suspects, who then had two friends go back for the victim's stash.

"The victim in this case, who we originally thought was the pick of the number home invasion, happened to be part of his own problem. In doing drugs and being a part of the drug culture and having a friend who turned on him in hopes of gaining more drugs with some outsiders, brought those outsiders and tried to rob this victim of his drugs," said Kraus.

Kraus says Brooks could still be in the area or may have fled. Anyone with information to his whereabouts is asked to call Lake Charles Police at 491-1311 or Crime Stoppers at 439-2222.
