Woman leads Sulphur Police on high speed chase

From KPLC Staff:

Lake Charles, LA (KPLC)-A Texas woman faces a long list of charges after Sulphur Police say she lead them on a high speed chase. Police say it all started Monday afternoon around 1:40pm when there was a reported hit and run accident on Beglis Parkway in Sulphur. Officer Jason Royer spotted the suspect's car and tried to pull it over. The driver refused and a chase began that topped speeds of 80 MPH. The suspect did stop on Beglis Parkway just north of Jim Picking's Road. When the Officer Royer exited his vehicle and ordered the suspect to do the same, that's when police say she sped off and the chase continued.

The suspect then allegedly ran the red light Highway 27 and Houston River Road before turning on Anthony Ferry road. It was there that the suspect lost control, went into a ditch and overturned several times.   The suspect, Danielle Chelsea Rossi,  Female of Vidor Texas was airmed to a Lake Charles Hospital by Acadian Ambulance. She faces charges of hit and run, aggravated flight from an officer, driving while under the influence and other possible charges are pending at this time.
