Funeral services announced for Cameron Parish paramedic

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Funeral arrangements have been finalized for the Cameron Parish paramedic who died in a tragic weather related accident. 38 year old Thomas Widcamp died after an accident at the ambulance station near South Cameron Hospital in Creole Friday afternoon. Strong winds pushed a temporary office trailer off its blocks and Widcamp was trapped between the trailer and a vehicle. He was airlifted to a Lake Charles hospital where he later died.

Visitation will begin Monday at Johnson Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Burial is at Consolata Cemetery.
