From The Associated Press:
LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - A new public awareness campaign aimed at keeping Louisiana residents healthy during flu season began with a bang - or rather, a shot.
Gov. Bobby Jindal and state Health and Hospitals Secretary Alan Levine got their flu shots Wednesday at a Lafayette drug store to launch the "Fight the Flu" campaign.
Public service announcements statewide will promote immunizations and hygiene tips to prevent the spread of the seasonal flu and swine flu. The campaign is funded mainly with federal grant money from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
