Bond reduction for Perkins denied

The man who allegedly shot and killed U.S. Marine Daniel Gueringer at a party 4th of July weekend went to court today seeking a bond reduction.

Bryce Perkins' father, mother, stepfather and grandmother have all agreed to put up their homes to secure his release from jail. However their combined properties still are not adequate to post $350-thousand dollars bond.

Assistant D.A. Rick Bryant argued against reducing the bond saying Perkins fled the scene of the shooting and that safety to the community is an issue as well.

Judge Robert Wyatt refused to reduce the bond.
