LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Funeral services for Kimberly Ann Stephens will be held this afternoon in DeRidder.
The 27-year-old's body was found near Granberry road by a passing motorist. The Calcasieu Parish Coroner's Office says a preliminary examination showed the victim died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.
Anyone with information that could help solve the crime is being urged to call Beauregard Parish Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-1374, 337-462-8918 or 337-463-3281. Callers may ask for Deputy Jim Cheevers when calling during the day. Crime Stoppers is currently offering a reward of $2000.00 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the crime.
Funeral services are under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder.
The left lane of I-210 westbound is blocked near Enterprise Boulevard due to a vehicle accident, according to DOTD. Traffic is backed up nearly a mile past the accident.More >>

A Longville man is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Beauregard Parish Saturday night. On Sept. 23, shortly after 9 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop D responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on U.S. 171, about a mile north of U.S.190, in Ragley, according to Sgt.
