While man, if not most medical claims associated with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill have been settled, someone is holding meetings around the Lake area trying to get people to sign up. LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Last week the body of 26 year old Necole Guillory was found off of I-10 in Acadia Parish, after she had been reported missing for nearly a week. Necole makes the eighth female body found in Jeff Davis parish since 2005, a fact causing some residents to stay vigilant.

"I think they are starting to keep their eyes open a little bit better. You have more people looking. But, he knows what he is doing," said Terrence Guillory.

"Keep a close eye on your loved ones as much as you can. Know of their whereabouts at all times, and that's pretty much it," said Shimirra Boudreaux.

No word yet on what exactly caused the death of Necole Guillory, but the Acadia Parish corner said she is believed to have died of asphyxiation.

With answers still hard to come by, and rumors around every corner, the deaths of eight women are all that people in Jeff Davis Parish can talk about.

"All we can do is hope and pray. That is all we can do," said Shimirra Boudreaux.

The Calcasieu Parish corner's office said final results on the autopsy could take up to two weeks. Once complete, the report will be forwarded to the task force investigating the deaths of the eight women.
