LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - An accident on Interstate 10 claims the life of a Sulphur man. Police say it happened around 2 p.m. Sunday when 25-year-old Stanley Shane Perritt was heading westbound near the Opelousas on ramp and began having car trouble. At the same time another driver entering the on ramp rear ended the stalled car.
Lake Charles Police tell 7 News Perritt appeared to be all right and even told officers he had ran out of gas. Moments later he died on the scene. Police aren't sure what caused his death.
Police tell 7 News they are treating it as an accident and no one has been ticketed.
