A pregnant woman is dead after a weekend traffic wreck in Beauregard Parish involving a soldier from Fort Polk.
State police say 33 year old Kimberly Johnson was killed in a head-on collision on Louisiana 27 around 8:30 Sunday morning. Sergeant Chris Guillory says Johnson was eight months pregnant.
There's no word on whether the baby survived the crash. Meanwhile, Guillory says 20 year old Brian Kinlein of Baltimore faces one count of improper passing but authorities say more charges may be filed.
Guillory says Kinlein was trying to pass a car on the two lane highway in fog and collided with Johnson's car. Two children, ages 14 and 4 were in the backseat of Johnson's car. They had minor injuries.
