Water problems in Water District #4

Reported by KPLC Staff

Officials in Water District #4 , which services customers outside the city limits of Westlake, say they're experiencing low water pressure and the filters are overworked, causing some discoloration in the water.

Officials say residents can expect to have discolored water temporarily, and would like for all customers to refrain from outside water usage until further notice.

The lack of rain has also forced officials to issue a mandatory advisory for limited water usage; that means no watering of lawns or adding water to swimming pools. They also say it is acceptable to water outside plants in the early morning hours.
