Police say an employee attacked other employees with knife

Reported by KPLC Staff:

LAFAYETTE, LA (KPLC) - According to the Lafayette Police Department, officers are investigating a case where an employee of Kentucky Fried Chicken on NW Evangeline Thruway was arrested and charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault, one count of Simple Battery and two counts of Criminal Damage to Property.

Allegedly, 27-year-old Jarvis Malveaux walked into the business and asked for his check. The employees did give him the check at first because the manager needed to speak with him. That's when he reportedly got upset and armed himself with a knife.

One employee and three customers got out the front door while three other employees locked themselves in the manager's office. Malveaux supposedly banged on the window and tried to force his way inside the office.

He was taken into custody without incident and no one was hurt.
