Waffles:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup butter/margarine, softened
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 cup strawberry preserves
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in large mixing bowl. Combine milk, butter and egg yolks. Add to dry ingredients; stir just to moisten. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold the egg whites into the mixture. Bake in waffle iron. Top with strawberry preserves.
