NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A New Orleans judge throws out a red-light camera ticket against a Metairie attorneyn who has been leading court fights against the cameras in three parishes.
Civil District Judge Kern Reese ruled in favor of Joseph McMahon III.
McMahon tells The Times-Picayune the judge found that the city failed to produce sworn statements that the cameras are reliable and that the recorded images prove a violation.
A Jefferson Parish judge ruled against McMahon and his attorney, Anthony Maska, in January. Last year, U.S. District Judge Sarah Vance last year dismissed a federal lawsuit claiming the cameras were unconstitutional.
McMahohn also has challenged red-light cameras in Lafayette Parish.
