Four inducted into Hall of Fame

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Four athletes in Southwest Louisiana can call themselves ‘hall of famers.'

These four athletes have been inducted into the Southwest Louisiana High School Sports Hall of Fame:

  • Sharde' Henry, LaGrange High School
  • Jake Greene, DeRidder High School
  • Joseph Caraway, Lacassine High School
  • Kylie Leonards, Fairview High School

All four will have their picture added to the Hall of Fame display at the Prien Lake Mall on Monday, June 22nd.

The other finalists were Natalie Ieyoub from St. Louis Catholic High School, Eric Cutrera from Barbe High School, and Haley Michelle McCall from South Cameron High School.

Former Barbe Buccaneer, LSU Tiger and current Pittsburgh Steeler Justin Vincent was the keynote speaker at the induction ceremony.  He was inducted into the Southwest Louisiana High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.

There are over fifty athletes who have been inducted and their pictures are on display at the Prien Lake Mall.

The first class of the hall of fame was inducted in 1998.
