How to get hotel accomadations outside of Lake Charles:
If you can afford to pay for your hotel room now, do so and save your receipts. FEMA will reimburse you.
There are currently 1,200 FEMA inspectors coming to Southwest Louisiana and 10,000 FEMA operators taking phone calls.

*Give FEMA your new address
*FEMA can send check equivalent to 3 months rent
*Can ask for rent assistance every 3 months for up to 18 months
Renters registered with FEMA
