If you're a kid, there's just nothing like a snow day! Local children and teens made the most of the opportunity for snow play, a rare opportunity in Southwest Louisiana. As those from areas like the Midwest will tell you, there's nothing like an unexpected snowfall and school cancellation to make it a great day, if you happen to be a kid.

The fall of Matt Lauer and so many others this year suggests sexual harassment is a much more pervasive problem than many people may have realized. Janet Allured, Ph.D., is an author and professor at McNeese State University. She's a longtime advocate for gender equality who herself finds recent events shocking. "It's hard for me to imagine the extent of this going on out there without those men being called to account before this," she said.

Coffey Road is one of the areas in Moss Bluff where low riding vehicles couldn't make it through water on the road, especially here where a little creek is now a large area of swift moving water across the road. Paul Kibodeaux spent the previous 24 hours using his big truck to shuttle people back and forth between homes and where they needed to go. "We do not recommend anybody do it unless they have a very big truck or a very heavy truck.  It's very hard current and if you...
