    Volunteer firefighters play a critical role in the safety of communities across the country, especially in our communities. More recently the state has seen a steady decline in firefighters. Over in Jennings, they're feeling that shortage now more than ever. "There's a big shortage with the volunteer firefighters on our department," said Chief training officer, Ashley Navarre. Navarre says they usually have about 25 volunteers available to help assist with emergencies...
