Ratcliff Practice Fields to end the two-and-a-half hour session that was full of speed, energy and enthusiasm. “It was a good first day,” said Guidry who is in his second season as head coach while also taking over the defensive coordinator duties.

Returning the spearheads of both their record-setting offense and defensive line, the Bearkats are favored to repeat as conference champions after an undefeated run through the league in 2016.   Leading the way for Sam Houston State is 2016 Walter Payton Award winner Jeremiah Bris.coe.

    McNeese’s Riley Isaac captured the Louisiana Women’s Amateur Golf Championship here Wednesday at the Lake Charles Country Club. Isaac, the native of Montgomery, Texas will be a sophomore in the upcoming season. The title is a welcoming sight for Isaac who has played in only five tournaments as a Cowgirl.
