Truman Stacey Dies at Age 91

Truman Stacey was active in many lake area organizations including the Diocese of Lake Charles and the local chapter of the National Conference of Christians and Jews. Sports fans may remember him as the American Press sports editor in the 50's. He also worked with the Louisiana Sports Writers Association. Stacey then became the editor-in-chief for the American Press in the 60's.

Stacey served on the boards of a variety of community groups including the Boy Scouts of America, American Red Cross, Lake Charles Symphony Orchestra, and Calcasieu Citizens for Decency.

Stacey was twice widowed and had no children. According to Johnson Funeral Home Truman Stacey will be buried in Consolata Cemetery.
