Two gang members have been arrested in Lake Charles.
On Wednesday, Border Patrol agents were conducting checks at the Greyhound bus station when they arrested the men who are members of the Southside 13 gang. They are citizens of Mexico illegally in the United States.
The men are Juan Carlos Jiminez-Maye and Miguel Angel Ortiz-Maye, cousins born in Hidalgo, Mexico.
Jiminez illegally entered the U.S. near Nogales, Arizona, and has been a member of the Southside 13 since he was 13 years old. Ortiz joined the gang around 2005.
Both were on their way to Clearwater, Florida when they were arrested.
They are being detained without bond at the Basile detention center.
